Margaret Ellis was born about 1862.
She married Paul Kingston, a maltster, in New Zealand in 1881 and they had eight children, one who died in infancy.
When Margaret signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Maori Hill, Dunedin.
Paul died at their home in 1907 and Margaret died on 15 September 1938, they are buried in the family grave in the Northern Cemetery.
