Annie Margaret Gunn was born about 1837.
She married Andrew Thomson Lockhart in Victoria, Australia in 1865 and soon after they sailed for New Zealand.
They lived in Naseby in Central Otago then in Dunedin and had three children.
Andrew died at their home in Dunedin in 1873 – he is buried in the Southern Cemetery.
Annie kept a boarding house and was declared insolvent in 1876.
She had a daughter in 1879 and when she signed the suffrage petition Annie was living in Water St, Maori Hill.
She died on 27 September 1907 and is buried with her daughter in the Northern Cemetery.
