Margaret Miller Brown was born in 1863 in New Zealand, the daughter of Thomas Brown and Margaret Miller.
Margaret did not marry. When she signed the suffrage petition, she was living in London Street with her niece Mary McKenzie Brown, who also signed the petition.
In 1932 Margaret and Mary were each presented with a bible to mark 25 years of service collecting for the Otago Bible Society.
Margaret died on 10 January 1954. She is buried in the family grave in the Andersons Bay Cemetery, Dunedin.
