Margaret Ramsay Norrie was born on 21 October 1858 in Glasgow, Scotland – the daughter of John Norrie, a carter, and Mary Colquhoun. (See 104 M Norrie)
She emigrated to Otago in 1863 with her family on the Nelson and they eventually settled near Milton where Margaret signed the suffrage petition.
She died in Christchurch on 17 July 1933 and she is buried with her brother in the Bromley Cemetery.
