Mary Ann was born about 1822 - she and her husband Robert, a bootmaker, had a son in New Zealand in 1867.
When Mary signed the suffrage petition they were living in Waverley St, South Dunedin.
Robert died in 1900, he is buried in the Southern Cemetery.
After Robert’s death their house was sold and Mary went to live with her son in Palmerston North where she died on 16 May 1912.
She is buried in the Terrace End Cemetery, Palmerston North.
