Mary Anne Keating was born about 1850 in County Cork, Ireland.
She emigrated to New Zealand where she married, carpenter, William H Robinson on 29 April 1879 in Hokitika.
They do not appear to have had any children and at the time that Mary signed the suffrage petition in Greymouth they were living in Wallsend, near Greymouth. They ran a boarding house for a time then a store.
William died in 1902 and Mary died on 26 July 1915 – they are buried in the Stillwater Cemetery.
