Margaret Noble was born about 1829 in Scotland. She married William Urquhart on 21 September 1859 in Edinburgh.
They had one daughter before they came to Dunedin in 1860 on the Storm Cloud. They had five more children in New Zealand. William worked for H.M.Customs.
Margaret died on 1 October 1896 and William died in 1899. They are buried together in the Northern Cemetery.
