Maggie/Margaret Fogarty was born about 1860.
She married Thomas Kiely, a carter, in 1877 and they had eight children.
The family lived in Dunedin and when Margaret signed the suffrage petition they were living in Church St, Roslyn.
In later life they moved to Morrinsville near to their daughter Mary.
Thomas died in 1921 and Margaret died on 9 October 1950 – they are buried Morrinsville Old Cemetery.
