Margaret O’Byrne was born about 1862.

She married Frederick Booth, a cook, in 1884 in New Zealand and they had four children.

When Margaret signed the suffrage petition they were living in Gore.

Margaret died on 6 January 1900 and Frederick died in 1909 in Dunedin – they are buried together in the Gore Cemetery.
