Margaret Gebbie Kiven (possibly Kaven) was born about 1832 in Wigton, Scotland.
She came to New Zealand and she married Peter Crawford, a boilermaker, on June 27th 1865 in Dunedin. They had at least 2 children, and when Margaret signed the suffrage petition they were living in Castle Street.
Peter died in 1906 and Margaret died on June 5th 1912 at her daughter’s home in Andersons Bay.
They are buried in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
