Margaret Jane Craig was born in 1868 in New Zealand – the daughter of James Craig and Williamina McDonald. (See 302 Whilelmina Craig)
When she signed the suffrage petition Margaret was living with her family in Hampden in North Otago.
She married Charles McDonald, a stoker, on 24 May 1901 in the North Otago parish.
Charles died in 1930 in Hampden and Margaret died on 30 September 1942 in Oamaru.
They are buried together in the Hampden Cemetery.
