Margaret Bruce McLauchlan was born in 1868 in New Zealand – the daughter of James McLauchlan, a quarryman, and Jane Morrison. (See 341 Jane McLauchlan)
When Margaret signed the suffrage petition she was living with her family in Greenhills near Bluff.
She married Harry Wood, an engine driver, in 1893 and they had two daughters.
Harry died in 1944 and Margaret died on 3 September 1944, they are buried together in the Bluff Cemetery.
