Margaret was born about 1840, possibly in Scotland.
She married Joseph Thomson and, from the 1870s onwards, they had six children.
When Margaret signed the suffrage petition they were living at 'Glen Farm' near Milton.
Joseph died in 1900 and Margaret died on 26 August 1929 while visiting her daughter at Macraes.
They are buried together in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
