Margaret Edward Chisholm was born in 1864 in New Zealand – the daughter of Duncan Edward Chisholm, a railway inspector, and Elsie Grant.
She married John Taylor, a saddler, on 9 October 1890 in the Tokomairiro Parish and they had eight children.
They lived in Milton where Margaret signed the suffrage petition.
John died at their home in Milton in 1938 and Margaret died on 8 August 1949, they are buried in the Fairfax Cemetery, Milton.
