Biographical information provided for the He Tohu exhibition:
Mary Ann Manson was born in 1861. She married Jonas Oberg in 1892, so probably less than a year before she signed the Petition. Jonas and Mary had seven children. Jonas died suddenly from a heart attack while forking hay (he was a farmer) at age 63. Mary outlived him by 24 years, passing away in 1947, aged 86.
