Mary Eliza Murchie was born on August 28th 1865 in Dunbartonshire, Scotland – the daughter of George Murchie and Eliza Smith.
She emigrated to Otago with her family as a young child and they settled in Dunedin.
Mary married Sinclair MacKay Munro, a storeman, on May 14th 1892 in Dunedin & they had 7 children.
When she signed the suffrage petition they were living in St David Street.
Sinclair died in 1938 & Mary died on August 7th 1947, they were both cremated.
