Mary Burke was born about 1856 in County Galway, Ireland.
She emigrated to New Zealand and is possibly the Mary on board the Dunedin which arrived in Otago in 1876.
Mary married surfaceman, Edward/Edmond Guest in 1885 – they do not appear to have had any children.
They lived in Mandeville, near Gore, where Mary signed the suffrage petition.
Edmond died in 1915 and Mary died in Mandeville on 12 June 1946 – they are buried together in the Gore Cemetery.
