Mary Ann Jones was born on 20 November 1857 in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia – the daughter of Peter Jones, a labourer, and Emma Stutley. (See 80 Emma Jones)
She came to Otago with her family in the early 1860s and they settled in Milton where Mary signed the suffrage petition.
What happened to Mary after her parents died is unclear.
