When Mary signed the suffrage petition she was living in South Dunedin.

She married Francis James Moloney, a carpenter, on 6 August 1899 at St Joseph’s Cathedral, Dunedin.

Mary died at her home in Dunedin on 1 February 1905 – she is buried in the Southern Cemetery.

Francis remarried later that year – he died in 1933 and is buried in the Hawera Cemetery.
