Mary Reid was born about 1827. She had a daughter, Lily, born in about 1863.
Mary married Alexander Lecky in New Zealand in 1864. They had no children and Alexander died in 1867.
In 1868 Mary married again to Richard Prout, a general dealer. Richard died in 1880. When she signed the suffrage petition Mary was living in Neidpath Rd, Dunedin.
She died on 1 August 1902 and is buried with Richard and other family members in the Southern Cemetery.
