Mary Sinclair McMillan was born in New Zealand in 1864 – the daughter of William McMillan and Elizabeth Watson. (See 58 Mrs McMillan)
Mary’s father died in 1879 and sometime after the family moved to Dunedin.
When Mary signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Arthur St, Dunedin and she was working as a teacher.
Mary died on 6 July 1950, she is buried with her father in the Milton Cemetery.
