Mary Bowie Morrison was born on 27 February 1866 in Glasgow, Scotland – the daughter of William Morrison, a draper, and Barbara Jollie.
She arrived in New Zealand about 1880 and married Thomas Wren, a painter, in New Zealand in 1886. They had no children.
In 1905 Mary and Thomas took a trip to Europe including the Lake District of England, Scotland and Ireland. Their return trip was via America, joining the mail steamer at San Francisco.
Mary died at her residence, Eglinton Rd, Dunedin on 18 July 1934 and Thomas died in 1935. They were both cremated & their ashes scattered.
