Maude Marian Hooper was born in 1869 in England – daughter of John Rossi Hooper and Elizabeth Glover.
In 1874 Maude, with her family, sailed for New Zealand as cabin passengers on the Haddon Hall.
Maude married William Nisbet, an engineer, in 1900 and they had five children.
William died in 1918 and Maude died on 10 September 1957. She was cremated and her ashes returned to the funeral director.
