Margaret Wilson was born in 1869 in Dunedin – the daughter of William Wilson, a foundry manager, and Helen Marshall. (See 28 Mrs Wilson)

When Margaret signed the suffrage petition she was living at the family home in St Clair, Dunedin.

She married Montague William Marriage, an iron founder, in 1909 – they had one daughter.

Margaret died at her home on 3 June 1937 and Montague died in 1964 – they are buried with their daughter in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
