Ann Muir Falconet was born about 1859 – the daughter of Louis Falconet, a stone mason, and Jemima Fraser.

She married John Wood, a bootmaker, in 1881 and they had five children.

When Annie signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Castle St, Dunedin.

Annie died on 15 December 1928 and John died in 1942. They are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
