Catherine Wasen Munro was born about 1841 in Scotland, she arrived in New Zealand aobut 1861.

She married Benjamin Milton Wildey, a carpenter from England in 1863.

They had nine children and lived first in Great King St then moved to Playfair St, Caversham in the 1870s.

Benjamin faced bankruptcy proceedings in 1877 and continued to work as a carpenter, he died in 1905 and is buried next to Catherine, who died on 27 May 1926, in the Southern Cemetery.
