Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Elizabeth Bellett was born in 1870 in New Zealand – the daughter of James Bellett, a stoker, and Bridget Kilmartin. (See 67 Mrs Bellett)

She married Henry Davies, a bootmaker, on 5 August 1890 and they had a son in 1893.

When Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition they were living in Jones St, South Dunedin.

Elizabeth died at her parent’s home in Jones St on 14 November 1893, 'after a long and painful illness.'

Their son Patrick died the following year, they are buried together in the Southern Cemetery.

William’s life after this is unclear.
