What do you know?

Alison Kane

Wilhemina Graham Sutherland (Mina) came from Northern Scotland to New Zealand where she met George Frederick Double. He also came from Northern Scotland but they were unknown to each other until they met and married in Invercargill. They had one child Catherine May Double but Wilhemina died quite young of asthma complications.

George Double and his brother had a hairdressing shop in Don Street, Invercargill. (Not sure if this is of real interest or not)

The Mrs Double of Ettrick Street who signed the Petition was the Grandmother of Graham Kane husband of Alison - Nelson Branch NCW Past President.
