Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Susan Hendy King was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of Charles Henry King, a contractor, and Susan Hendy Perry. (See 49 Mrs King)
She married William Fraser on 25 August 1890 in Dunedin and they had nine children, one who died in infancy.
When Susan signed the suffrage petition she was living in Athol Place, Dunedin either with or near her parents.
She died at her parent’s home on 22 July 1909 and is buried with two of her siblings in the Northern Cemetery.
William appears to have later moved to Wellington, it is not clear when he died.
