Elizabeth Catherine Repper King was born in Cornwall, in 1862. She was the daughter of Charles Henry King and Sarah Hendy Perry.
In about 1867 Charles and Susan, with three children, arrived in Dunedin - another nine children arrived after their arrival.
Elizabeth married Charles David Gibbs in 1881, they had seven children, the last in 1891.
On 11 September 1894 Catherine died at her home Castle St, aged 31. She is buried in the Northern Cemetery.
George re-married in 1896 and he died in 1943.
