Marjory McLintock Chisholm was born on 22 June 1862 in Glasgow – the daughter of William Chisholm, an engineer, and Marion Jamieson Miller. (See 112 Mrs M Chisholm)
She emigrated to Otago with her family in 1875 on the “Invercargill” and they settled in Opoho in Dunedin.
Marjory married upholsterer John Evans on 16 June 1887 in Dunedin and they had three children. She signed the suffrage petition in Opoho where John died in 1921.
Marjory died on 14 August 1944 – they are buried together in the Northern Cemetery.
