Bridget Agnes O’Connor was born about 1843. She married John Forster, a hotel keeper, in 1870 and they had two sons before John died in 1874 at the Artillery Hotel in George St, Dunedin.
John is buried in the Southern Cemetery.
Bridget re-married in 1876 to carpenter John Edwin Morrell and she had a further two sons.
John was declared bankrupt in 1883 and when Bridget signed the suffrage petition the family were living in McGlashan St, South Dunedin.
Bridget died at her home on 5 August 1909 and John died in 1931 – Bridget is buried with her son, also in the Southern Cemetery.
