Lavinia Moore was born about 1860 in Kent, England – the daughter of William Moore, a joiner, & Elizabeth Shipman.
After her father’s death Lavinia emigrated to Otago in 1874 on the Peter Denny with her mother & siblings.
She married Alfred Joseph Wynn, an undertaker, in 1886 & they had 7 children.
When Lavinia signed the suffrage petition the family were living in St Andrew St, Dunedin. Alfred died in 1934, he is buried in the Northern Cemetery, Dunedin.
Lavinia died on September 17th 1948, she is buried in the Motueka Cemetery.
