Mary Josephine Feeney was born about 1854, she arrived in New Zealand about 1874 and she married John Keenan in 1879.
They had six children and when Mary signed the suffrage petition the family were living in Macandrew Rd, South Dunedin.
John died in Dunedin in 1925, he is buried in the Southern Cemetery.
Mary died in Christchurch on 27 June 1929, she is buried in the Bromley Cemetery.
