Mrs Kuegler was born Ernestine Hoffman, daughter of William Hoffman, in 1860 at Schweidnitz, Schlesian, Prussia.
She married Herman Tenzer, who died in 1881 at Breslau, Prussia. She had one son Herman Tenzer.
Ernestine remarried on 26 November 1884 at Schweidnitz to Frederick William Kuegler.
It is not known when Ernestine, Frederick and Herman Tenzer came to New Zealand, however their first child Emily was born in 1890 followed by a son in 1892 at Waimate, Canterbury, New Zealand.
Frederick William Kuegler was Naturalised as a British Subject by Letters of Naturalisation on 24 May 1897.
Ernestine Kuegler died on 26 October 1919 at Waimate and is buried in the Waimate Old cemetery.
Frederick William Kuegler died on 2 October 1928 at Waimate and is buried in the Waimate Old cemetery
