Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Ann was born about 1835.

When she married coal miner John McCrorie on 28 July 1868 in Dunedin she was Mrs Smith, presumably a widow.

Ann and John lived at Fairfield where she signed the suffrage petition.

Ann died at their home on 16 October 1907 and John died in the Dunedin Hospital in 1911 – they are buried together in the Green Island Cemetery.
