Catherine McKenzie was born in 1861 in Victoria, Australia – the daughter of William McKenzie and Hanna McDonald.
She married George McLeod, a railway employee, on April 2nd,1884 in Dunedin.
They had 4 children & when she signed the suffrage petition, they were living in College St, Caversham.
They later lived in Bluff where George died in 1919 and Catherine died on August 11th, 1940 – they are buried together in the Bluff Cemetery.
