Minnie Hart was born in 1866 in New Zealand – the daughter of Henry Benjamin Hart and Maria Harper.
She married Peter Edward Firth in 1884 and they had four children.
Peter worked as an engine driver and when Minnie signed the suffrage petition they were living in Cobden. In 1896 they moved to Napier.
Minnie died in the Grey River Hospital on 22 June 1923 – she is buried in the Karoro Cemetery.
Peter died shortly after on 15 August in Napier – he is buried in the Old Napier Cemetery.
