Annie Clarke was born about 1848 in Ireland.
She had a daughter around 1861 and around the 1870s she arrived in New Zealand with her sister Martha.
Ann married Patrick Mohan in 1885, he was a widower with three young children working as a miner.
When she signed the suffrage petition they were living in Cobden.
Ann died on 18 August 1918 at the Westland Hospital – she is buried in the Kumara Cemetery.
Patrick moved to Wellington where he died in 1931 – he is buried in the Karori Cemetery.
