Elizabeth Lamont Moore was born about 1853 in Stirlingshire, Scotland.
She emigrated to New Zealand about 1880 and married Robert Jordan, a labourer in 1885.
They had seven children, one who died in infancy.
The family were living in Rothesay, Dunedin when Elizabeth signed the suffrage petition.
They moved to Waitati north of Dunedin in 1896 and took up farming.
Elizabeth died at Burnside Farm, Waitati on 2 November 1902 and Robert died in 1909.
They are buried with their son in the Port Chalmers Cemetery.
