Catherine/Kate Bowles was born in New Zealand about 1862.
She married John Thomas Roberts, a labourer, in 1883 and they had four children.
When Kate signed the suffrage petition she was living in Grosvenor St, Kensington, Dunedin.
She died on 18 December 1933 and John died in 1939 – they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
