124 Mrs Dow
Catherine McKinnon was born about 1830 in Perthshire, Scotland.
She married David Dow on 30 November 1855 and they had 3 children before the family emigrated to Otago in 1859 on the “Alpine”.
They settled in Dunedin where their next five children were born.
David died in 1878 and when Catherine signed the suffrage petition she was living in Maori Hill.
Catherine died on 26 October 1913. She is buried with David in the Northern Cemetery in Dunedin.
