Cassie was born about 1868. She married William Trenberth, a seaman, and they had at least two children – one dying in infancy.
When she signed the suffrage petition Cassie was living with her family in Oxford House, York Place, Dunedin. In 1893 Cassie was advertising her services as a dressmaker in the paper.
The family moved to Wellington about 1896 where Cassie died in December 1901. She is buried in the Karori Cemetery, Wellington.
