Agnes Stuart was born about 1853 in New Zealand, the daughter of Lewis Stuart and Margaret Robertson.
She married William Little, a butcher, on September 20th 1870 in the Otepopo parish. They had 9 children, one who died in infancy.
Agnes signed the suffrage petition while the family were living in Palmerston in North Otago.
In about 1900 they moved to live near family in Palmerston North, where Agnes died on August 23rd 1919.
Her obituary said she was “highly respected”.
William died at their daughter’s home in Plimmerton in 1924. They are buried together in the Terrace End Cemetery, Palmerston North.
