Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley
Naomi Bowsher was born in 1858 in Wiltshire, England.
She emigrated to Canterbury in 1874 on the Dunedin and she, apparently, married Wilhelm Ernest Lutz, a pork butcher, in around 1891 in Greymouth although no record can be found.
When Naomi signed the suffrage petition they were living in Cobden.
They later moved to Wellington where Wilhelm died in 1926 – he is buried in the Karori Cemetery.
Naomi remarried the following year to William Charles Jones, a chef.
Naomi died in Wellington Hospital on 16 November 1942 and William died the following year – they were both cremated.
