Henrietta Mary Ann Moody was born in London in 1867 – the daughter of Henry Robert Moody, a boot riveter, and Mary Ann Snelling.
She emigrated to Otago with her family in 1874 on the Carnatic and they settled in Dunedin.
Henrietta married John Richard Woodcock, a bricklayer, in 1889 and when she signed the suffrage petition they were living in Maryhill Terrace, Mornington.
They had 9 children, 2 who died in infancy.
John died in 1947 and Henrietta died on January 27th 1956. They were both cremated - Henrietta’s ashes are interred in the family grave in the Southern Cemetery.
