Nina Margueretta Bent was born in 1867 in New Zealand – the daughter of John Bent and Eliza Ann Jones. (See 43 Eliza Bent)
Her father died in Dunedin in 1884 and when Nina signed the suffrage petition she was living in Humber St, Oamaru.
Nina married Charles Edward Bailey, a machinery agent, on 23 March 1905 at St Michael’s Church in Christchurch – they had one daughter.
Nina died in Christchurch on 7 February 1955 and Charles died the following year – they are buried together in the Waimairi Cemetery.
