Biography contributed by Katherine Blakeley

Rebecca Julia Tudor was born in New Zealand in 1866 – the daughter of Jon William Tudor, a fishmonger, and Sarah Brooks. (See 64 Sarah Judd)

Her father died in 1882 and her mother re-married in 1885 to Luke Judd.

Rebecca married Edwin Peattie, a cab driver, in 1891 and they had three daughters.

When Rebecca signed the suffrage petition they were living in Dundas St, Dunedin.

They later moved to Cumberland St where Rebecca died on 17 March 1919.

Edwin re-married the following year and he died in 1936, they are buried with their daughter in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
