Robina Morgan was born on 4 December 1871 in Edinburgh, Scotland – the daughter of George Andrew Morgan, a cabinetmaker, and Catherine Black. (See 51 Mrs G Morgan)

She emigrated to Otago in 1875 with her parents and two sisters on the Invercargill and they settled in Dunedin.

Robina married William Tinnock Ross, a commercial traveller, on 6 April 1898 in Dunedin and they had three children.

Robina died on 5 October 1937 at her home in Mission Bay, Auckland and William died in 1946, they are buried together in the Hillsborough Cemetery.
