Allison Hood Ronald was born in 1871 in New Zealand – the daughter of Archibald Ronald, a ploughman, and Isabella Aitchison.
When she signed the suffrage petition Allison was living with her family in Kaikorai, Dunedin.
She married labourer Edmund Rowe on 4 October 1893 and they lived in Kaikorai Valley.
Edmund died in 1950 and Allison died on 24 April 1952 – they are buried together in the Andersons Bay Cemetery.
